Southwest United Canada Inc (Concord Division) earns "Bombardier 3 Star Certification"

Southwest United Canada Inc (Concord Division) is proud to be the first metal finishing company in Canada to receive a "Bombardier 3 Star Certification"

Southwest United Canada (API and CEEL Divisions) achieves AS9100 Quality Certification

Southwest United Canada is pleased to announce their certification to AS 9100 Rev. B from Bureau Veritas Certification North America Inc. The prestigious achievement demonstrates the company Quality Management System's compliance with the highest standards in international aerospace.

For Southwest United Canada, the detailed AS9100 certification process encompassed every aspect of the company's Quality Management System, including product realization, manufacturing, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Achievement of this certification signifies Southwest United Canada's continuing commitment to maintain the highest standards of excellence to meet and exceed our customers' expectations for quality and service.

According to Southwest United Canada President, Jim Emery , "Achieving AS9100 certification is a significant milestone for Southwest United Canada Inc. Expanded Anodize Capacity

Southwest United Canada's API facility in Concord has recently completed the expansion of its anodizing facilities to include new ten foot tanks. The new line has been included in the facilities Nadcap accreditation and has been approved by most API customers. The size and make-up of the new processing line was a collaboration of the API facility's customers, managers and employees and will allow larger parts to be processed in a more efficient manner.

Southwest United Canada, Inc. Announces Steve Little as VP & GM

Southwest United Canada, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Steve Little to the management team as Vice President and General Manager.   Steve will be responsible for the API facility in Concord, ON and the CEEL facility in Brampton, ON.

Steve has most recently been the Operations Manager for Northstar Aerospace.  He has held progressively more responsible positions during his 25 year career at Northstar, including Quality Manager and Production Manager.  His experience includes obtaining and maintaining Nadcap accreditations, implementing lean initiatives and completing Six Sigma projects.

Steve’s industry and technical experience will add immediate value to Southwest United Canada’s strong technical and experience base and provide for improved service to our broad customer base.

Southwest United Canada, Inc. Formed

Southwest United Canada, Inc. has been formed to legally amalgamate Advanced Processing Inc of Concord, Ontario and CEEL Limited of Brampton, Ontario.  Both Advanced Processing and CEEL Limited were previously owned by Southwest United Industries, Inc. of Tulsa, Oklahoma USA who will operate Southwest United Canada as a wholly owned subsidiary.   The two Canadian facilities now operate as divisions under one legal structure and one management team.  The two facilities offer complementary services that combine to offer complete turn key aerospace metal processing from a Nadcap accredited source.  The two facilities combine to offer complete processing including:  anodizing, chrome plating, nickel plating, cadmium plating, ti-cad plating, hvof thermal spray, precision grinding, shot peening, non-destructive testing, and painting.

Southwest United Canada Approved for HVOF Spraying & Grinding by Goodrich

Southwest United Canada is proud to announce the successful completion of audits from Goodrich Corporation for its Thermal Spray Department. Ceel’s HVOF spraying, grinding and superfinishing are now approved to LGPS1301(spraying) & LGPS7010 (grinding/superfinish) and will appear on Doc200. Our state of the art facility is capable of spraying and grinding diameters of 12” with lengths up to 54”. For other sizes please Contact CEEL for more information.

Southwest United Industries purchases Advanced Processing Inc.(API) of Concord, ON

Southwest United Industries is proud to announce that it has purchased all the outstanding shares of Advanced Processing Inc. (API) of Concord, ON. The coordination, amalgamation and the complete integration with Ceel Limited of Brampton, ON will establish the first complete one-stop-shop processing company in Ontario.

Mr. Terrence Martin established Advanced Processing Inc. in 1979 to service the blossoming de Havilland aircraft manufacturing sector. In the year 2000, the company moved to its present location in Concord. At that time API employed 25 people in a facility of 13,000 square feet. It has since expanded to 18,000 square feet and employs 45 people in a 3 shift system.

Based in Ontario, API serves an extensive customer base throughout Canada. API is approved by most major aerospace prime contractors including Boeing, Bell Helicopter, Bombardier, Lockheed Martin, Goodrich, and Messier-Dowty. API is an ISO 2001-2000/SAE AS 9001B registered company holding Nadcap accreditations for Chemical Processing, Non Destructive Testing and Shot Peening. Current chemical processes include Anodizing, Cadmium Plating, Chemical Coversion Coating, Passivation of Stainless Steels and application of Prime and Top Coats.

Southwest is very pleased that Terry Martin will continue running the day-to-day operations of API. He will spearhead the addition of several new process lines and assist in the integration of API and Ceel to ultimately develop one seamless processing company.

Southwest United Industries was established in 1953 in Tulsa, OK. It currently operates in Tulsa and Oklahoma City providing non-destructive testing, shot peening, thermal spray coating, plating, grinding, anodizing and painting services to the aerospace industry. It is Nadcap accredited and is certified and approved by all the major aerospace prime contractors.

Plasma Coating Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Southwest United Industries and is located in Gardena, CA. PCC provides thermal spray coating (HVOF, plasma, wire-arc, combustion powder and wire), precision grinding, painting, Teflon and dry film lube services to the aerospace industry. It is approved by many aerospace manufacturing companies and is Nadcap accredited.

Southwest United Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of Southwest United Industries and is located in Brampton, ON. It provides chrome & sulfamate nickel plating, HVOF thermal spray and precision grinding to the aerospace, nuclear and defense industries. Ceel is Nadcap accredited and has earned many aerospace process approvals.

Southwest United Canada Adds Grinding Capability

Southwest United Canada is proud to announce the addition of grinding capacity to complement our HVOF, chrome & nickel plating capabilities. CEEL has purchased a high precision Okamoto cylindrical grinder with a 12” swing and 58” between centers. This machine will be setup to grind HVOF coatings.

Southwest United Industries closes purchase of CEEL Limited of Brampton, ON.

Southwest United Industries of Tulsa, OK has closed the previously announced purchase of all of the outstanding shares of CEEL Limited of Brampton, Ontario.

Larry Raycraft established Canadian Electroplating Enterprises Limited in 1978 to service the heavy equipment hydraulic industry. In 1981 the company moved to its present location at 85 Stafford Drive in Brampton, Ontario. Neil Raycraft purchased the company from his father in 1994 changing the name to CEEL Limited. Currently CEEL provides hard chrome and sulfamate nickel plating services from its 18,000 square foot facility to aerospace, military and general industrial customers. CEEL is Nadcap accredited and approved by Boeing, Goodrich and Messier-Dowty.

Southwest is excited to enter the Canadian market through the purchase of CEEL and to be associated CEEL’s outstanding group of customers and employees that have contributed to CEEL’s success.

Southwest’s top priority is to support the Canadian aerospace community with the installation of HVOF thermal spray coating and grinding into the CEEL facility with Ti-Cad plating and additional processes to follow.
