Southwest United Canada was formed in 2009 with the combination of Advanced Processing Inc. in Concord, ON and CEEL Limited in Brampton, ON.
Southwest United Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of Southwest United Industries, Inc. headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. CEEL Limited and Advanced Processing had been purchased by Southwest United Industries in 2006 and 2008 and were operating independently up until their combination at the end of 2009.
Southwest United Canada operates under one management structure from both the Advanced Processing facility in Concord and the CEEL facility in Brampton. Between the two facilities Southwest United Canada offers complete Nadcap accredited aerospace processing from one source. Both facilities have more than thirty years of experience offering metal finishing solutions to Canadian aerospace, defense and industrial customers.
CEEL Limited was established in 1978 as Canadian Electroplating Enterprises Limited to service the heavy equipment hydraulic industry. In 1981, the Company moved to its current location in Brampton, Ontario. For the past thirty years CEEL has provided hard chrome and sulfamate nickel plating services from its 18,000 square foot facility to a broad customer base in the aerospace, defense and general industrial markets. In 2006, Southwest United Industries purchased CEEL Limited. Since the purchase, the CEEL location has expanded its services to include HVOF thermal spray coatings and precision grinding. All processes at the CEEL location are Nadcap accredited.
Advanced Processing Inc. was established in 1979 to service the expanding de Havilland aircraft manufacturing industry. API moved to its current location in Concord, Ontario in 2000. The API facility has been expanded to 25,000 square feet and has expanded its services to a broad aerospace and defense customer base. The API facility offers anodizing, chemical conversion coating, cadmium plating, ti-cad plating, passivation of stainless steel, non destructive testing, nital etch, shot peening, and painting. The API facility is approved by most major aerospace prime contractors including Boeing, Bell Helicopter, Bombardier, Gulfstream, Lockheed Martin, Goodrich Landing Gear, and Messier-Dowty. All processes at the API location are Nadcap accredited.
